Today I started drinking lemon water to see what all the buzz is about. I’m willing to give it a go. My friends Brad and Jess from Live Lean TV shared about lemon water health benefits which intrigued me and I thought I would try it out.
I was all prepared this morning with my cutting board, 1/2 lemon, a glass of cold water and one of my all-time favorite kitchen accessories, the lemon squeezer. Best thing ever and a great gift for others too.

I’m excited about all the potential health benefits. I was going to start doing some research on the best skin care routines and to find out drinking lemon water is good for the skin is cool. I know it’s a bit off topic but if you have any suggestions for good skin care routines/products, let me know!

Here are their steps on how to make lemon water:
1. Wake up.
2. Pour a 250ml glass of room temperature water (if you have digestive problems, you can use warm/hot water).
3. Cut an organic lemon in half and put the other lemon half in the fridge for tomorrow.
4. Squeeze the juice of the half lemon directly into the glass of water.
5. This will turn the water cloudy.
6. Drink, then repeat the next morning.
I squeezed my half a lemon into a glass of cold water. Hopefully, that won’t be too terrible. I love cold water! So delicious.
I drank my lemon water and then I filled my glass with plain water immediately following and worked on drinking that. I’m really glad I enjoy drinking water. It truly is my drink of choice.
NOTE: Use a glass instead of a plastic cup when adding any acidic fruit like lemons/limes to water for health purposes. I have heard it can break down plastic and we wouldn’t want those plastic chemicals to leech into our lemon water right? Who knows how true all that is but I still prefer to use a glass for my lemon water.
I had once given up soda for a very long time and then got back to drinking it. Bad habit so I want to cut it out again. We were given a cool red Soda Stream this weekend and had some fun with making some bubbly water! Can’t wait to try more with it.
