I absolutely think The Biggest Loser has a good trainer team this season with Dolvett Quince and Bob Harper. I have been watching for a few seasons now and although I enjoy it most of the time, there are times I just shake my head.
I love the fact these people can totally transform their lives in just a few months. But not everyone has that opportunity so we need to live in ‘real life’.
BUT since it IS reality TV, it is my understanding that a lot of it is not aired and some portions of the show are set up. It really doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. Overall, you can get some great tips from The Biggest Loser show and inspiration too.
Now I’m not saying I wouldn’t jump at the chance to spend a week at the Biggest Loser Resort, Fitness Ridge in Malibu, CA. It looks really awesome!
Now wouldn’t that be a fun review over on our family travel blog, Newton’s Travels? Maybe we’ll make it there one day.
The Biggest Loser Trainers
My favorite trainers from the Biggest Loser have been Cara Castronuova, Kim Lyons and of course Dolvett and Bob. It would be totally cool to train with any of them. I, unlike a lot of people DID like Ana Kournikova’s no nonsense training but I’m not sure the Biggest Loser TV show was the right avenue for her. Guess that’s why she’s no longer there huh?
Oh and did I spy a Polar heart rate monitor on one of the contestants this week? I believe I did! What ever happened to their promo of the Bodybugg? Do the contestants still use it? I’m not complaining if they aren’t because I would love to see them all use Polar because the company just rocks (I may be partial as an Ambassador BUT I’m stating the truth).
Anyway, I do see myself in a lot of the contestants and totally get what they are going through. The Biggest Loser has changed many lives and I look forward to watching this season.
Do you watch the Biggest Loser TV show?
And I’ll leave you today with some of my favorite words from Dolvett…
“It hurts to look good baby, it hurts to look good. I’m in pain every day!”
Hard Work.Dedication
Make it a great one!

Ive tried each season and only ever made it through one episode.
if that.
it’s just not…my perspective on fitness and health and makes me cringe a bit 🙂

I would second “Mizfit’s” comment , probably the only good thing is that Juliann or whatever her name is no longer on the show(though we do still have to suffer through her segments on “The Doctors”).

I actually love watching it because I find the motivation of the contestants pretty awesome, but I have some serious misgivings about their food recommendations, particularly the products they push within the show itself. Subway and Yoplait smoothies are not my idea of smart food choices, so I take issue with the version of “healthy” diet proposed here. And yet I watch every week!
