Here’s another Fit & Healthy Friday Tip
Today’s Tip: Reward Yourself
Did you meet a weight or inch loss goal this month? Be sure to reward yourself. Whether it be a day at the spa, a pedicure, a new outfit or piece of jewelry be sure to treat yourself for a job well done. And no, food rewards don’t count.
I’ll be honest and admit that I’m not one to really reward myself although I have bought some new clothes over the past few years. This is definitely something I need to work on. The complimentary Hot Mama Makeover report will help with other ideas on how to pamper and reward yourself. It mentions self and professional pedicures in the report and that is one thing I do on a regular basis so I probably should be counting that as my reward because having a professional pedi always makes me feel really good.
Do you reward yourself? If so, what types of things do you do to treat yourself for a job well done?

I rewarded myself with a haircut recently. My next reward at the end of the month is a pricey pair of running shoes and a cute workout outfit 🙂

growing up, rewards were always associated with food or cash, so I really don’t think of it in those terms. My feeling is that if I love myself then enough to do something nice for me, I should also love myself now to do it. I don’t wait until I lose X amount of pounds to do A, B or C. Life is just too short for that.
Losing the weight and getting fit has it’s own inherent rewards… like the feeling you get the first time you can run up a flight of stairs without getting winded, or waking up after a good night’s sleep, or getting to the furthest reaches of the zoo to see that exotic animal you’ve been dying to see.

I’m so glad to hear that you reward yourself, Annette. You definitely need good running shoes and a cute outfit will be fun too.
Kev and I are thinking about purchasing spin shoes so that would be a nice reward.

I like how you think Kate. Very smart. And I do know those feelings you speak of, they are amazing. I remember them well.
