Welcome February

Chicagoland February 2015Happy February! Today it snowed anywhere between 10-15 inches in Chicagoland. It’s beautiful but I would still rather live where it’s warm year round.

So much has been going on lately and I have been really busy. I’m trying to get back in to a workout and healthy eating groove. I’m still having issues with my arm so I’m trying to do things where I don’t have to use that arm.

I can use the recumbent bike, limited time on the spin bike because I have to put pressure on my arm and of course I can do any kind of walking. Tonight I hopped on the treadmill and did a walk/jog for 20 min. That felt good.

This month my goal is to do some form of walking every day. I’m using the calendar from my friend Kimberly at Sublime Reflection. Be sure to check it out!

As many of you know we have family living with us (a friend and her two, soon to be three daughters) from Honduras. It’s going to be a full house. And we’ll be taking a trip together to Washington D.C. next month.

I’m originally from Northern Virginia and spent many summers as a kid visiting D.C. with family and friends. I’m looking forward to that trip. And hopefully I’ll be able to connect with a few friends while we are there.

This month we are also planning to work on my bathroom. I’ll post about that separately but it’s long overdue. I am totally finding amazing ideas on Pinterest.

My goals for February:

1) Walk every day. Whether it be on the treadmill, outside or a Walk Away the Pounds DVD, I want to get in the habit of moving every.single.day.

2) Learn more about Essential Oils. I joined doTerra, more for personal use but have heard great things about using essential oils for health.

3) Read every day.

I am limiting my goals because I don’t want to overwhelm myself this month especially with busy client work and other personal biz commitments (I am way behind on posting on our travel blog about our vacation to Roatan almost 5 months ago. I cannot believe it’s been that long.).

Lots to do. Lots to do.

What have you been up to lately?

I can recall all the fun times at had with you at the national Zoo in DC .You loved it when I called the elephants with their own sound. A warning about gulping hot tomato soup? By now you and Kevin know hi aggravated my “vagal reflex” and black out leaving me in a soaking wet condition. To your readers beware!! It has never happen to me before but they say there is always a first for something. thank the Lord they were able to diagnose and recovery was quick.
