Struggles with Weight Loss/Fitness
I’ve been blocked. When it comes to working out, eating right and sharing it all, it’s become a struggle. I’m not exactly sure what it was but every time I thought about a workout or writing down what I was eating and then sharing my workouts for the week, it totally stressed me out.
Have you ever been burnt out on the topic? I mean burnt out on focusing on weight loss and fitness? I used to love working out. I’m sure I will love it just as much once I get my butt back into our home gym. This month, I started getting back into the swing of things and have hopped on the recumbent bike and gone for walks.
I sure miss having a personal trainer.
I want to share what I do so I can help others because so many have inspired me to keep going. But I’m going to do it on my terms. You’ll hear about my workouts or yummy meals when I want to share them, not because I’m expected to as a weight loss/fitness blogger.
I know that I want to feel better, fit in cute workout and street clothes, not have pain issues and the list goes on. I hate that I fell out of love with the healthy lifestyle I was living. Having struggles with weight loss/fitness is no fun. It just stinks starting over.
I’m even struggling to write this post but I’m sure I am not alone with some of my feelings. And if I am well, I don’t mind being the odd one out lol
I had begun to think that I would make this blog more of a lifestyle blog to share more family stuff and whatever I want and I will but I’m sticking with the theme of living a healthy lifestyle and we’ll see where the blog takes us. To me this includes family, weight loss, fitness and health.
It’s been a while since I have found something that really interests me but recently I have found a love for essential oils. I’m enjoying learning about them and starting to dig in and use them for all kinds of things. I’m especially thankful for one that aides in the digestions of foods and soothes occasional stomach upset but in my case cramps. I used it for a few days and it helped my pain.
Anyway, I’ll be posting more as I learn and use my essential oils. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask, it will help me learn more. Do you use essential oils?
So back to the topic of life revolving around weight loss and fitness. It’s great to live a full and healthy life but it doesn’t feel good to obsess over having to post about your workouts, how many calories you burned during said workouts or what you eat every day. Or when it comes to taking the perfect picture of yourself or the food you’re eating.
My goal now is to enjoy my workouts, focus on making more healthy food choices and just being me. A proper balance of everything is what I need to focus on.
I do want to live a healthy and fit life so it’s time to start getting my groove back to what I once enjoyed.
Thanks for listening!
Can you relate? Got any tips?

I agree with what you said about finding a nice balance between fitness and life. Seriously what fun is being in great shape if you have to be a slave to the gym and kitchen? To me, fitness should be used as a way to enhance your life, not consume it.

Hi Thomas, thanks for dropping by. You said it so perfectly. I love that, enhance your life, not consume it. That is what I want to live by!

I think these feelings are totally normal. I go through times where I feel like I have no mojo or get stuck in a rut. But then something resparks my interest and I’m back at it. Sometimes you even just need a break from it all. A few days without working out.
Angie says
Thanks Jen! I took a longer break than I should have and didn’t keep things consistent. But that is going to change!

I agree that sometimes I get tired of posting about health and fitness. I sometime delve into holistic wellness, such as topics about mindfulness, as it’s semi-related. When nothing is inspiring me I like to participate in link-up and just share other blogs/articles I’ve found from the week that interest me. I keep the personal stuff to a minimum as I find the “how-tos” and informative posts get the most views and shares!

Thanks Bri! Very helpful suggestions.

I get how you feel. Sometimes there’s just that feeling of not wanting to do the same thing over and over. I think that focusing on enjoying it is a good thing that will reset everything and get you back in gear.
