Weekly Weigh In: August 19

Disclosure: This post may contain referral/affiliate links.

No change this week!  I’m stuck when it comes to the scale but I’m doing good with exercise.  At times I get frustrated that I had done so well before and now I struggle to get back to my lowest.  The food part is honestly the hardest and I just wish I could eat whole foods all the time and not have cravings for the ‘naughty’ stuff.  I know it’s not all bad but for me really it is since I can’t always control myself with it.  I read all of these awesome food blogs and their foods look and sound sooo good but seem so difficult to make or expensive.  I know that buying fresh whole foods is no more expensive than buying processed box foods but it’s the mindset. Oh and their portions are perfect but mine well that is another story.

I’m going to keep trying though, you know me, I won’t give up!

Current weight: 230
Goal weight: 140
Pounds left to go: 90

I did have some fun news come my way today though.  I made it into the Citrimax TOP 100 Diet and Fitness Blog’s list.  I’m #29 in the 3rd section. I’m among some very awesome bloggers there. YEA!

PS.  How did your week go?

Hi, again, Angie. For what it’s worth: My experience is that it is about 20% more expensive to eat healthy-ie, more fresh fruits and veggies-than processed. But I tell myself that I’m going to pay for my health one way or another: spend more on good, fresh food vs. dealing with health-related issues at the doctor’s office. blessings on your journey!

Way to go on your success, Ashley! I would love to see you start a blog about your experience. One day I hope to run but right now the knee issues don’t permit it so I have to do other stuff.

Karen, you are so right! Thanks for stopping by.
