Just finished week 1 of March. I’m ready to jump back in to my workouts although slowly. I’m going to start small and push through. Had another doc appt this past week to check on my left shoulder issue. Right now I’m on a daily anti-inflammatory and a pain/sleeping pill at night as needed. It’s been some time since I got a full nights sleep so it feels good to have had almost 2 nights of sleep over the last few days.
I go back to the doc at the end of March to have my shoulder checked again. If it’s not better then we go to physical therapy. Then last resort see a surgeon. I have a new doc and I like her. She says it could be my rotator cuff. We’ll see. But she did say I could get moving, walking or biking indoors but no lifting or leaning/putting pressure on my arm.

I’m going to start with walking indoors to my Walk Away the Pounds DVD’s and using the treadmill and possibly the recumbent bike. Since I still have the leg numbing issue on my right leg (it’s not painful, just totally annoying) I like to be home when it happens. When it goes numb it’s like I have a lead foot so I have to sit and wait for the feeling to come back. Yes, I have a ton of issues but hopefully losing weight will help all of them.
I also wanted to get back into fitness because I would like to do a walking challenge in April. It’s my 45th birthday month (April 1st) and I thought it would be fun. What do you think? Would you be interested?
So here are my March goals:
- Walk daily (whether it’s 10 minutes or 30)
- Focus on making healthier food choices
I travel for business in April so that will be a short fun trip to Daytona Beach. As for making healthier food choices, what are some of your favorite things to eat? I do not follow any special diet or program so I’m open to recipes (no need to sell me any products or plans though lol). And now that I’m eating meat again, I have a wide variety of choices available.
What are your goals for March?
