You might have heard things are changing around here….and let me tell you why!
For a while I have been stressing too much over having numerous blogs to tend to (I have quite a few!) so I’m combining most all into one ‘lifestyle’ type blog. I have gone back and forth over this idea for many years and for a long time it worked out fine to have separate sites but things will be different as I head into a new direction.
This blog has been on the topic of weight loss and fitness since 2008 called losingitandlovingit.com. And now after 10+ years, it will become a combo of health & fitness, daily life, house & home, pet talk, grand kids, beauty (I really need help in that department) and more. For now we’ll be keeping our travel site separate but you never know, it might one day be incorporated here! My business site(s) will be kept separate as well.
Speaking of grand kids. Being a grandma is one of the things I’m most proud of and want you to be able to share in that joy too. We have 5 grand kids. Hunter, the newest addition is a preemie, born 3 months early in April of this year. He was only 1 lb 4 oz at birth and is now a big boy at over 11 lbs. Isabella is 6 and in 1st grade and our oldest granddaughter’s are Emily (18), Rhyanne (16) and Lily (13).
I have a huge to do list to get the site where I want it to be and after 10+ years I have a lot of links, social accounts and other tech stuff to work on so please bare with me. But ……
I am SO very excited about this change and hope you will be too. My goal is to keep things positive around here and inspire others to live in the moment and enjoy life. I want everyone to live a grand life. It’s been a while since I have felt that special spark. And I started to feel it coming back once I decided to make the change and go in a new direction. With only four years to go until I hit the big 50 this is perfect timing to change things up a bit. Don’t you think?
Shall we call it a midlife, live your best life makeover?
Thanks for always being so supportive in my weight loss and fitness journey. There will still be a lot on that topic here because well, I haven’t even touched the surface of where I want to be health wise.
I’m hoping this change will propel me forward to reach all the goals I have for my life. Plus I want to get to know all of you on a more personal level. If you have a website where you share your life out loud, please feel free to comment below.
Be sure to follow me over on my new Facebook page. You can also follow me on Twitter & Instagram.
I would also love to hear from you about what you would like to see here. I’m open to sharing most anything on the blog except you probably won’t see any political discussions here ha ha.
Welcome to Her Grand Life!

Hi, Angie:
Congrats! on the change. The blog looks great, I love the new name and design.
We both are the exact # of years to the big five-o. So I think you’re right – a grand change is in order. 🙂
I will follow your blog and going now to follow your new FB page. Then going to dedicate today (or this weekend) to my plans of change. And what’s next for me. Thanks for the reminder and encouragement.
