Happy April Fool’s Day! It’s also my birthday. I like to celebrate all month long but thought this would be a fun post for today, the 1st day of the A to Z blog challenge.
Yesterday, I was taken out to lunch by some business partners. We went to The Village Squire in South Elgin, IL. I have been to two of their 4 locations in IL and this one has been by far the best when it comes to both service and atmosphere.
Tonight we went to Lindy’s Landing in Wauconda, IL to celebrate my birthday with family. I love this restaurant in the summer time when we can sit outside. They have a great Reggae band, Hurricane that plays there which we especially like to go there for. Lindy’s is a marina on Bangs Lake in Wauconda, IL.
“Bangs Lake is a glacial lake that was created over 10,000 years ago by receding glaciers. The majority of property around the lake is privately owned. The lake bottom consists of sand, rock, and muck. The lake is home to such species as bluegill, channel catfish, largemouth bass, northern pike and yellow perch. The lake is used for a variety of recreational activities during the summer such as swimming, fishing, and boating. The winter months bring ice skating, hockey and ice fishing to the lake” (source)
Kev and I just got back from a bit of shopping. Overall a great day!

What a great way to start the month and the challenge! I wish I was there to celebrate too but we can have a redo when I get there in May!
