National Homemade Bread Day was this past Monday, November 17th so I wanted to share that I made some healthy homemade bread in my new Oster breadmaker. Dad and mom sent me an early Christmas gift and I went to town making some yummy homemade bread. I followed the recipe for the 100% Whole Wheat Bread provided in the Oster user manual which also comes with a wide variety of other fun recipes that I look forward to trying.
I really enjoyed using the Oster ExpressBake Breadmaker! Here’s what it looks like (image from Amazon).
I’ll be doing a full review on this breadmaker once I have a chance to use it more but for now I’ll leave you with pictures of the bread I made.
The top of the bread turned out quite funky but it sure tasted really good. Mission accomplished! Not quite sure what bread I’ll make next but I think I’ll try my hand at the Italian Herb bread recipe that is also in the manual. I imagine Kevin (my hubby) and my stepson would enjoy that since they liked the whole wheat bread. Maybe for Thanksgiving next week, we shall see!
Do you have a breadmaker? If so, what are your favorite types of bread to make. Please feel free to share recipes.

We have a Zojirushi Home Bakery Mini (you can read my full review here: https://metropolitanmama.net/2008/06/homemade-bread-one-of-my-favorite-things/) and I use it often. I especially love to make Cinnamon Raisin Bread as an afternoon treat! It’s so delicious when it’s warm, with butter melted on top.
