Super Saturday

Disclosure: This post may contain referral/affiliate links.

It was a busy but fun day.  Went to the gym early for spin class and weights.

Stats:

Spin class (Interval)

Time: 1:00 hour
Calories burned: 798

My calves still hurt so bad but I kept pushing through and kept the focus on going back to Jamaica and being able to fit in smaller size swim suits plus I kept saying to myself I have to keep going if I want to fit into the jeans and cool pants I have in my closet.

Weights

Time: 18:30
Calories burned: 125

Dip Assist 140# 2 sets of 10
Chin Assist 140# 2 sets of 10
Chest Press 60# 1 set of 10 and 45# 1 set of 10
Bosu ball crunches (10), push ups and plank hold

After doing weights my arms were jello, shaking like crazy and still are this late at night.  My goodness I have my work cut out for me.

OK, so we showered at the gym and I forgot my shower shoes dang.  I really despise walking around the gym and shower without my shoes ick.  Hubs laughs at me but I would rather be safe than sorry, ya know?  So, hubby had his favorite, a nice long sauna today and then before we left we got our Saturday Smoothies (yummy peanut butter for me and orange/pineapple for him).

Headed off to do some shopping.  We got a gift certificate for Christmas for our favorite tea shop so I had Kev get his favorite tea.  I have enough of their tea to last me for quite some time.  We have enough cans to last us here at home for a while but hubby ran out of his tea at work.  The two pictured below and some more.  I’m really trying to cut down on how many days a week I drink coffee.  I don’t drink that much but I know tea is better for me.

So after the tea shop we went to Whole Foods Market.  You can always do a lot of damage there.  I love buying new things each time.  Last time I went I took pictures of my stash and my lunch but this time I didn’t.  I love all the fun stuff you can get from that store.

The only thing we got there today that we didn’t like was this Mango ‘juice’ which we shook and weren’t supposed to because it exploded and stained our clothes and hands.  It also tasted awful, like vinegar.  It’s a specialty drink called Synergy and something we’ll never get again that is for sure.  Just not our cup o’ tea LOL

I bought some medjool dates because I had heard good things.  I put some Almond Butter on that and enjoyed it a lot much to my surprise!  And I also tried a Strawberry Chobani Greek Yogurt and fell in love.  I don’t like regular yogurt much at all but this one won me over for sure.  I can’t wait to try more.
Fun trip to Whole Foods today but it was crowded!  Did you know Whole Foods is on Twitter?  And while you’re there follow me on Twitter too.

PS.  I know the pictures are not that great so I apologize.  I really need a new updated camera.  Right now I have a Fujifilm Fine Pix digital but would like something more hip like this Canon PowerShot

I don’t know much about the best cameras.  Hubby has a really nice one but I just want a small one.  To all you bloggers out there what type of cameras do you have and recommend?

So as you can tell it was a fun filled day.  Now it’s off to play Wii with hubs and stepson.  They are playing Mario Kart long distance with my stepdaughter in Oklahoma.  How fun.  Hope you’re having a great weekend!  Any fun plans?

I think this is my longest blog post ever so if you made it to the end, thanks for reading!

The medjool dates are like candy very sweet. You don’t really need to add anything to them. But don’t eat them of you are diabetic. I bet they are very good for athletes.
