I was invited to take part in ProFlowers review and was able to choose which item I wanted to try from a list they provided. I thought the Organic Fruit Sampler would be the perfect fit for my blog here so I went with that. I was very excited to do this because I have done business with the Pro Flowers company for quite some time. Between my mom and dad they have received quite a few gifts like the cherries, fruit samplers and flowers and from their feedback the service and product has always been great.
My fruit sampler arrived and to be honest my experience wasn’t the best. Lovely big box but the fruit inside was wrapped in paper and not presented as nice as it could have been. Also, one of the oranges had a hole in it and had white mold on the outside of it. That put a bad taste in my mouth and I notified my contact right away and he apologized and made things right. He offered to send me another product and I happily accepted. We discussed that most likely the extreme heat could have been the cause of the not so yummy fruit. I took the 2 pears that came in the fruit box to the gym for us to have between spin classes and they were tasty, nice and juicy. Tried one of the bananas and was not impressed but the orange was very good and so fresh and the kiwi’s were OK. I’m not sure that I would purchase another fruit basket or at least not during the summer months. Here you can view all of their fruit baskets and fruit gifts.
I still placed a personal order before even seeing this fruit basket and the process was fine but I asked the gift recipient to share her experience and take photos so I could share in this review. I ordered the Smiles and Sunshine Bouquet and my friend’s initial reaction was that they were pretty but they were kind of brown/wilted. I knew that the flowers might look a bit different from the picture but I expected them to be vibrant and full as the picture shows and they seem to be far from it by the look of the pictures she sent to me. Plus it looks like there is more greenery than pretty flowers.
This is the image from the Pro Flowers website
and here are the two pictures of the actual flowers that my friend received (Day 1 and Day 2)
Not too impressive to me!
So let’s move on so I can tell you about the ABSOLUTELY AWESOME Ponytail Palm Bonsai plant that I got as the replacement to the fruit gift. I LOVE it and pray that I can keep it alive. On the sticker it says to water every 7 days so I watered it on Thursday and have it set up on my iPhone calendar to remind and alert me every week to take care of it. It’s my little baby ha ha! Look at this beauty (Pro Flowers image below)…..and yes it looks just as it does on their website except mine is MUCH fuller WOW! The only thing I can’t figure out is how to get the white rocks to sit on the soil around the palm without falling off. Water was overflowing as I watered it so I’ll have to work on the arrangement. Very happy with this product though.
Isn’t it pretty?
Although the experience with my Pro Flowers fruit basket was not the greatest, I am still going to do business with the company because not only did they make things right they have always provided me with exceptional service and products in the past. I want to thank the company for the opportunity to do a ProFlowers review.
P.S. I have to add this….just last week after a business trip, I was sent a gift of chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate covered pretzels from none other than Pro Flowers! How funny and what good timing. Have a look at these babies on my Facebook page. They are delish even if totally sinful LOL

That’s got to be a hard business for them. Dealing with fruit and plants? Very unpredictable. Thanks for the review!

Thanks Debbi! And yes I can’t imagine having to ship that type of stuff all over the world but they have always done right by me.
