Happy August

HAPPY AUGUST

This week was OK but I took a few days (too many!) off. I was just plain exhausted from travel the week before.  Hoping for a better week and I would like to push it a bit more in Aug. even though I have another business trip coming up.  I am pretty bummed though because my primary trainer, Karen is moving.  She really is an amazing trainer so anyone who trains with her in the future is VERY lucky.

I chose to stick with my secondary trainer, Scott because he is also a really good trainer, just in a totally different way.  We did discuss what I loved so much about Karen and he’s willing to work with me doing some of the things that I really enjoy.  I explained to him that the biggest thing for me  is changing my workouts up on a consistent basis. I cannot do the same things over and over or I totally get bored.  I’m sure everything will be great!

Here are my workouts for the week:

Monday-

*Elliptical
Time: 10 min.
Miles: .73

*Personal training (TRX upper body)
Time: 30 min.

*Treadmill
Time: 20 min.
Miles: 1.35

Did three 2 minute run/3 minute walk intervals.  Found out today that my trainer Karen will be moving so I’m real bummed but life happens and I still have a great trainer to work with.

Tuesday-Thursday- nothing

We played hooky from spin on Wed. and the other two days were just a wash.  Just trying to catch up on missed sleep from my business trip.

Friday-

*Personal training
Time: 30 min.

*Bosu ball squats with 5 lb medicine ball
Time: 10 min.

Saturday- Day off

Sunday-

*Strength training
Time: 10 min.

*Spin class
Time: 60 min.

So as you can see, my workouts this week were nothing to write home about but at least I worked out right? Ha!  Hope everyone is well.

What was your favorite workout last week?

Well considering that you won’t have worked out at all a few years ago, that’s pretty awesome anyway. And sorry to hear about your trainer, they are pretty special relationships when you find one that fits you. I hope Scott can modify his style to suit you, good trainers can.

Thanks Rita! That is so true about trainers and I’m sure he will be able to modify to fit my style. Glad I’m not afraid to tell him what I want LOL
