Did you know I was a gym rat? Foursquare tells me so because I have been to the gym at least 10x in the pat 30 days. WOW! Here is what they sent me when I got the badge a few weeks ago
“10x trips in 30 days? Go reward yourself to the nastiest double cheeseburger you can find (bonus points for cheesy fries and milkshakes). And ps: you look nice today!” by Foursquare
Ha that cracks me up! Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be called a gym rat but it’s all good……anyway here are my workouts for the week.
Monday- Day off
Tuesday-
*Pilates
Time: 1 hr+
Boy do I need more core strength!
Wednesday-
*Spin class
Time: 1 hr
Different instructor than usual and it was a fantastic workout. Had a good time!
Thursday-
*Personal training (lower body)
Time: 30 min. + 10 min. on my own
*Walk outside
Time: 40:49
Miles: 2.33
Calories burned: 332
Friday-
*Personal training (upper body)
Time: 30 min.
Do you remember my vertical knee raise challenge for September? Woot woot, I met my goal to do TWENTY vertical knee raises. It was not easy but I did it. Now the goal is to obviously perfect them and to ultimately be able to raise my knees higher but it feels good to have accomplished that.
Saturday-
*Walk outside
Time: 1 hr 54 min.
Miles: 6.13
My Garmin was not charged so I didn’t get total calories burned during the walk. Using Kev’s stats from his Garmin. Average speed was 3.2 miles per hour. So if we keep with that it should take us just over 4 hours to walk the 1/2 marathon. I hope our speed gets just a tad better before then so we can finish the race in under 4 hours. I might just have to book it towards the end ha ha. This walking thing is not easy. My feet and hips hurt like CRAZY! And my hands get so swollen when we walk it’s annoying and painful too. Ohhh and can I complain about one more thing? All I have to say is CHAFING, ouch! But I’m happy to see that we weren’t too far off from what half the race would be. I CAN do this, yes I CAN!
Sunday-
*Spin class
Time: 1 hr
So overall a really good week!
How about you?

I agree with Foursquare and envy you. How can I get that kind of cool badge? 🙂
I’m planning of testing my own fitness level before I start a new 3 month challenge in October.
Satu says
It’s me again. I tested my muscular strength.
Abdominal strength:
20 curl ups in 60 seconds (average result)
Upper body strength:
7 modified push ups in 60 seconds (poor result)
The only way is up..

Satu,
You are rockin it! I think you did great. Never have timed myself on those things. I wonder what I would get. Looking forward to hearing about your 3 month challenge. The only think I’m focused on right now is walking the 1/2 marathon in Dec. Then I’ll make plans for other goals when we return from Jamaica.
