Thanks Bob Marley<3
This week was good but not great. I am nursing some sort of injury to my left foot (maybe pulled tendon?) so needless to say we didn’t walk Thurs. or Sat. I’m able to spin and do just fine with that but the minute I go to walk on my foot, oh the pain. Anyway, I’m hoping with some Advil and icing plus rest this week in between my other workouts I’ll be able to walk Thurs. and Sat. We shall see. Oh and get this…I had my monthly weigh in and measurements and the scale that I was using at the gym has been off the ENTIRE time since I started personal training. That means that I am 30 lbs heavier than I thought I was LOL I never weighed in at home so I wouldn’t have known except they got a new scale at the gym and said the old one was definitely broken. Lovely! Then after that minor blooper, measurements stunk this month. Basically no change on much at all.
I totally get that I have changed my entire routine to train for this 1/2 marathon walk and cut out some stuff that burned quite a bit of calories so I’m not going to stress over it. I know that once this race is over and we get back from vacation, I can get back to my normal routine and even add more. It was just a bit of a blow. So here were the workouts for the week……
Monday- Day off
Tuesday-
*Pilates
Time: 1 hr
Wednesday-
*Spin class
Time: 1 hr
I have perfected my vertical knee raises. My form is much better and I’m able to do 15-20 at a time.
Thursday-
*Personal training (lower body)
Time: 30 min.
Friday-
*Personal training (upper body/core)
Time: 30 min.
Saturday– Day off
Sunday-
*Spin class
Time: 1 hr
Phew glad the week is over and hope to have a better one this week.
How did your workouts go?

To me it would have been a major upset if I had discovered I weigh 30 pounds more than I thought! You appear very sensible about it.
How long is it to the Jamaica half marathon?
I have finally discovered I can use my own blog to post my physical activity. 🙂 I added an excel created diagram that represents my daily steps.

It was shocking to see that big of a difference on the scale but not much else I can do but move forward.

That stinks, but numbers aren’t everything! So much easier to say than to hear, I know. At least you have the upside, which is that you know how to get back into your routine once the 1/2 marathon training is over! Hope your injury’s healing well.

Thank you Allison! I definitely agree about the numbers hence why I only weigh in once a month LOL but I definitely know what I need to do to make things happen. Thanks for your note!

Darn Angie, I hate when you get a bad scale and then go to one that works to find out you are worse off than you thought. Good luck, keep going.

Yep it stinks but I’ll get over it. Thanks for your note.
