Spinning Class

Angie on the Spin bike 2

Today Kev and I took our first spinning class. I had been so nervous every time he mentioned trying it out and I wish I would’ve tried it out sooner. Today we did Interval and they say that is the most difficult of the Spinning classes. The instructor is the lead Personal Trainer at our gym and has been very helpful. She was running late this morning so wasn’t really able to help me get the bike set up but we are thinking of taking another spinning class tomorrow morning so the instructor for that will help me. The only part of the class that she asked me not to do yet was the jumping (she told Kev that too but he couldn’t help himself).

My calories burned during spinning class were over 550. I thought it was a great workout and the music selection she had was fabulous. I’m so glad I decided to give it a try and look forward to many more spinning classes.

Do you Spin? If so, I would love to hear about your experience. And for those of you on the fence about taking a spinning class, I would recommend that you give it a try.

UGH, I did spin class when I was in school. My group exercise instructor is a nut and has been teaching classes since the beginning of aerobic classes. She was awesome, but until some of us turned green she just kept kicking the class up 2 notches. lol

Spinning is an incredible workout and so awesome for leg muscle formation. If you find an instructor you love and the music that keeps you motivated, then you’ve hit the right combo immediately!

I’ve been spinning for two weeks now. The instructor gave me a little intro on how to set up my bike. The first class was murder because my butt hurt so bad! I went to Target and got a gel seat cover for about $10. It made all the difference!
It is a great workout and you sort of get in a zone and forget about time passing. The hour goes by pretty quick. I recommend giving spin a try!
Make sure you stay hydrated and take a small towel…you will sweat!
I am 40 and just starting to work out after about 5 years of being VERY sedentary. If I can do it, anyone can! : )
