Oh boy today’s workout was insanely great!

Embarrassed at this weeks LACK of workouts.  However I absolutely loved Friday’s personal training.  I brought in my new boxing gloves and mitts and my trainer and I did that for 40 min. straight. It was a sweat fest and I loved every minute of it.  I missed it so much (my old trainer Karen used to do that with me all the time) and wanted to get back into it on a regular basis so I bought my own gloves and mitts.  I sent her a text asking for the boxing drills we did together.  She was quick to respond so now I have them and am looking forward to doing this often.  And now that I have a boxing bag at home (I won it!), I need to learn how to use that.  A business friend of mine, Todd Wilson owns Total Boxing in Atlanta where they do boxing fitness training.  My plan is to get a little training in there right before my business conference this August.  So excited!

So needless to say I think 2011 is the year of BOXING.  Sounds exciting to me!

Goal for this week:  Workout at least 5 days!

P.S. I was sent a Silversport™ towel made from soft absorbent bamboo to review.  This gray towel is 20″x30″ and the perfect size to take to the gym for spin class and other workouts.  It’s so soft too.  The surface of every Silversport™ product releases silver ions when activated by moisture (sweat, water, etc.) which significantly decreases odor-causing bacteria on the surface, resulting in a Silver Clean Zone™ (odor-and-bacteria-free).  Kevin (my husband) used it today during cycle class and says he liked it and it definitely worked as advertised. He likes it much better than the normal towels we use and although it’s thinner it was very absorbent and soft.

Silversport™ has other eco-friendly and anti-microbial fitness products as well so be sure to check them out!  I would like to try their Hot Fitness Silvermat™, a non-slip surface for yoga, hot yoga, Pilates and general fitness.  We were looking at purchasing a 2nd one because we liked the product very much but found the price at Dick’s Sporting Goods a bit shocking at $34.99 each.

Oh, I envy your boxing sessions! I used to do fitness boxing and I even have my own mitts, but it’s been years since I have boxed.

Boxing with a pair is much more fun than boxing with a bag, because the workout is much more dynamic. You can’t always know what your pair is going to do!

You could always use your husband, though! 🙂

LOVE boxing, Satu! I haven’t used the bag yet but I want to get started. And yes Kev has been told that he’ll be my boxing partner once my personal training contract is up *wink*
