Our trip to Oklahoma City was fantastic! Kev and I are the proud new grandparents to a beautiful little baby girl, Isabella.
My stepdaughter Tiana and her hubby Nick are doing great and will make awesome parent’s. I flew in early to help make sure everything was all set and Kev drove from Chicago for the birth. We can’t stop smiling.
While in Oklahoma City we were able to have a bit of fun ourselves. Kev was able to meet up with his brother who was in town for business and they went to an Oklahoma City Thunder game. The Thunder won, how cool! Of course I stayed home and snuggled with the baby!
We also tried out Matthew Kenney’s, a vegan restaurant I have wanted to try since the last time I was in Oklahoma City. I’ll blog about that experience next.
We took two days to drive home to Chicago and stopped overnight in St. Louis. We stayed at the Drury Plaza at the Arch hotel and it was awesome! And we did the St. Louis Arch tram tour. I’ll write more about those too.
It’s good to be home (we sure missed our pets) but we are missing our family in OKC big time. Already planning our summer trip back! Kev would love if we could drive straight through on the way there but I just don’t travel in a car well. Give me a plane anytime. But on the way home, we will definitely be doing the two day trip again and sightseeing somewhere new on the way home.
Would you recommend we do other sightseeing in St. Louis or would you pick another destination like Lake of the Ozarks or something else along the way?
