House Sitting OpportunitiesWho knew you could house sit in exchange for travel!  Last week I came across some info on various house sitting opportunities. The more I read about it, the more exciting it sounded.

Imagine a free stay in your favorite country in exchange for watching over someone’s house and maybe taking care of their pets, watering their plants, etc. Here are the top 5 house sitting destinations for 2014.

I would love to do this one day and even brought it up to Kev for our trip to Roatan, Honduras but he wasn’t interested.  Maybe one day I’ll get him to try it out! Here are some house sitting resources that might help you.

House Sitting Resources:

2) House Sitting Travel Blog

3) Nomadic Matt has a post on the best tips on how to become a house sitter and most importantly become a good one.

4) Learn how to get started as a house sitter on the Y Travel blog.

5) Here are a few house sitting guides you might like on Amazon:

House sitters are wanted all over the world.  You should be trustworthy, reliable and sometimes willing to pick up and go when needed.  If that’s you and these house sitting opportunities excite you, go for it.

Have you ever done house sitting in exchange for free travel accommodations?
