Have you heard of Psi bands? Wristbands for nausea relief are all the rage these days and with very good reason. We had heard about these bands but didn’t really believe the hype.
So let me tell you, they work amazingly well. I bought a few pairs. One was for Rikaine from Beans & Tortillas and then I bought each Kev and myself a pair as well.
I don’t get sea sick or nauseated by much at all so I really can’t tell you if they worked well for me. BUT Rikaine would get car sick almost immediately after I would start driving. And no it’s not my driving lol
She could never ride without feeling nauseous but she snapped one of these Psi bands on and never once got sick. We drove around for over an hour and she was able to look at her phone too. Another thing she hasn’t been able to do when riding in a car.
The next test for her was to sit in the back seat AND look at her phone. The Psi bands passed the test once again. The big test was for her to be able to ride the bus in Honduras over 3 hours to her home. Not only was she able to use her phone she was also able to eat. Never once felt sick. So amazing.
Kevin hoped it would work well for him on the whale watching tour boat. And the Psi bands did not disappoint. He was even able to stand up in the very front, where sea sickness is usually the very worse. The tour guides even recommended to those who are prone to sea sickness to sit at the back of the boat.
These wristbands for nausea relief come in a variety of colors. One size only though and they are a bit too tight for me. Although they should be snug.
From Amazon:
“Psi Bands are acupressure wrist bands for the relief of nausea due to morning sickness/pregnancy, motion sickness/travel, anesthesia, and chemotherapy. Award winning Psi Bands are stylish (available in several colors), adjustable around the wrist and at the acupressure point for personalized comfort and fit, waterproof (no more soggy wrist bands), and reusable. Scientific studies support the use of wrist acupressure for the relief of nausea.”
Psi bands are cleared by the FDA and drug free. The research they have done shows that Psi bands help with motion sickness, morning sickness, chemotherapy and anesthesia. When you buy the bands they come as a set and you need to wear both at the same time.
They are waterproof which is a bonus for us since we’ll be in Roatan, Honduras soon and we will need to use a boat as transportation to snorkeling adventures, etc. If you have trouble with motion/sea/morning sickness then we would recommend these Psi bands for you.
