Here is your Friday Fit and Healthy Lifestyle Tip.
Today’s Tip: Sweating during exercise is OK
Sweating, also known as perspiration is your body’s cooling system. It helps the internal temperature of your body stay in a normal range. Sweating during exercise is healthy and your body is supposed to do it so don’t be embarrassed about it. But don’t be mistaken, sweating is NOT weight loss.
WebMD recommends that you drink plenty of fluids and says, “Many people do not drink enough fluids to balance the loss from sweating from physical activity” so be sure to stay hydrated while exercising.
*Excessive sweating/perspiration should be checked out by your doctor
What exercise makes you sweat the most?
For me, it’s spin class and the Elliptical. I tried the stair master once and that was one big sweat fest. Wish I could do it more but with bad knees I just can’t.

Great post Angie! I know temperature has a lot to do with how much you sweat when exercising. My main exercise is jogging and when it’s cold outside I don’t sweat as much but I know I’m getting basically the same intensity workout. In the summer the reverse is true – it just pours – and I’m not talking about rain 🙂
Congratulations on your anniversary – you are truly an inspiration!

I sweat most when jogging too. It may not be connected to weight loss; what I know is that it really makes me feel good when I am through with my exercise.
