Thursday-Sunday-NADA #FAIL
Actually I did a new workout this week and it was a bit much for me. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely loved it but my knee didn’t and I paid for it dearly. I know when I have to take it easy and so that is what I did. But I did want to review Mike Donavanik’s Extreme Burn Total Body Interval Training workout with you because for those of you who have no knee issues, I think it’s a very cool workout. Lots of fun and challenging moves.
Extreme Burn is a six week full body program. It has three different workouts which combine strength and cardio. You can buy the DVD at Mike D Fitness. I do believe that anyone can do this workout, even beginners.
I did have to modify some of the moves as I went through the 1st workout which was about 40 minutes. As you can see above, I did burn over 500 calories so I consider that a SUCCESS!
You do need two sets of weights, a light one and a medium to heavy set. I love the upper body portions of the workout I did.
I would definitely like to be able to do more of this DVD but for now I have to lay off of it until I get a bit more strength in my knees I think. Keeping fingers crossed that I can do it sooner than later because I really want to do more interval training.
Here is a video intro to Mike and the workout.
If you decide to try it, let me know how it goes!
