Bob Harper Live
Bob Harper, health and fitness expert, television star and all around great guy (wish I could meet him personally!) recently launched his online fitness club. It delivers exclusive daily content and was developed to help US live a healthy and fit lifestyle.
I was granted access to Bob Harper’s online fitness club in return for review and I’m excited to tell you more about it.
First impressions? I am really impressed!
I have always loved Bob on the Biggest Loser but within this club he’s more like your friend. The cooking videos he does are awesome, short and sweet. He’s totally real and when he messes up, he admits it. Very fun and personable!
The Online Fitness Club
The club is full of great things. You’ll find a section for exercise, food & lifestyle and community. I’ll explain below.
New workouts are provided five days a week including three circuit workouts, a personal training session, and a 20-minute group fitness class led by Harper. All exercises are progressive and challenge every muscle to deliver results.
Food & Lifestyle
Harper provides fresh recipes based on his personal food philosophies, along with kitchen demonstrations to promote ideas and healthy lifestyle tips that strengthen improved eating habits and lifestyle choices.
Every member has access to a journal for tracking meals and progress, as well as a community message board that offers interaction, support and inspiration.
Things that could improve:
I haven’t found a way to connect with other members except through the message board so it would be great to make it easier to find member profiles. Having a help file would be great to introduce people to the website and how to set up their profiles, connect with others, etc.
I have not had success in uploading an image for my profile (through Firefox or IE) and read that other members were having that same issue. Hopefully that will get sorted out but it’s not a deal breaker that’s for sure.
And lastly, I would like to see the videos stay where you leave off if you have to stop the video for any reason so you can come right back and keep going.
My Favorite parts:
The good parts outweigh the improvements that could be made. I am loving Bob’s cooking videos and can’t wait to start digging in to the workout videos. I have watched a few minutes of some of the workout videos and they seem like fun, not to mention a great workout.
I opened up the website on my iPad and I think it will be great to access these workouts when traveling. You can do them in the hotel room! Just go grab a weight from the hotel fitness center to use. And you can also take advantage of the fitness circuits that he offers to get a great workout as well.
I like the simplicity of the fitness club.
