When you make Penne Pasta with homemade veggie sauce, how does that veggie sauce go? Do you have a sort of recipe?

We’ve already changed things up on our menu for the week but it’s not a big deal to me. I’m letting Caleb help with the cooking and menu planning so if I’ve got something down for a day & he doesn’t want it then but wants something else for one of the other days then we are just switching it around.

    Diana,
The sauce is something hubs just throws together. He uses crushed tomatoes and a whole lotta spices and veggies (mushrooms, peppers, etc.) and sometimes turkey sausage or ground turkey.

I’ll have to write up a recipe to add to the blog. Hope this helps.

Tishia, I am sooo glad to hear you are letting Caleb help with cooking. He will appreciate that a lot down the road. Have fun menu planning!

Salmon is on our menu for this week too. We have this great soy/brown sugar marinade and I usually serve green beans and bread on the side.
