30 Day Shred: Days 6-7 Level 1

Disclosure: This post may contain referral/affiliate links.

I am having a good time with the 30 Day Shred workout video.  I can’t believe tomorrow is Day 8 already.  I did decide to stick it out and do all 10 days on the first level especially since this is my first time doing the workout.  Saturday will be the 1st day of level 2 so I’m excited about that.

Day 6 and 7 were a sweaty mess as usual and I love that feeling.

Day 6-

Jillian mentions in the workout video that we should see our endurance getting better and I do.  I’m not dying as much during the cardio portions so that’s a good thing.  I have been doing a bit of jogging and leg lifts in place of the jump rope and butt kicks when my knees start to hurt.  I’m glad that I’m able to modify and still keep up with the calorie burn although I wish the calorie burn was higher during each workout!

July 6

28 minutes
239 calories burned
Max Heart Rate: 84%/158
Average Heart Rate: 71%/132

Day 7-

I loved today’s workout!  Not sure why but I just felt really good throughout the whole workout.  I’m doing much better with the bicycle crunches but I still haven’t mastered keeping my legs up the whole time.  I’ll get there!  I just keep them up a bit longer each time.  Push ups are a whole different story ha ha

July 7

28 minutes
215 calories burned
Max Heart Rate: 86%/161
Average Heart Rate: 70%/131

Have you done the 30 Day Shred?  If so, we would love to hear all about it.  If you haven’t done the 30 Day Shred do you think it might be something that would interest you?

Don’t forget you can follow along as I do the workout.  Just go to the 30 Day Shred workout video overview blog post and scroll to the end to find all the links in one place.

Have a great day,

Well I love this site.. then was greatly irritated when I realized after reading all your updates that you never posted your final results! Maybe I am not as computer savvy as I would like to be but like after link lead me to nothing.. So thanks for the encouragement but wish you would have followed through with that!

    Brooke,
I am so sorry! I could have sworn I had posted my update when I said I would but I didn’t. It’s all updated now and you can find my results on my very last post called, I made it through the 30 Day Shred.

And the link to the full video review is there as well. I really appreciate you bringing this to my attention. I cannot believe I messed up. Sorry!

I am on day 4 of the 30 day shred, level 1! I do not have the level 2 or 3,but Iam doing level 1 through comcast on demand. Hopefully they will add level 2 and 3 or I will have to get the download or video. I am still hurting, but I am getting through the workouts and the 20 minutes. It is tough. I would like to know if it is supposed to be daily. I assume it is a 30 day workout each day, but most workouts these days reccomend skipping a day. I would think Jillian would recc: a different target area each day for 30 days. No weight loss yet!

    Darbi,
Way to go! Hope they add the other levels for you. And yes, it’s supposed to be done daily, straight for 30 Days but if you feel uncomfortable at all, I would do every other. Keep us updated!
