Are you ready for a new month? I know I am!
The last few months have been hectic with family stuff and travel not to mention redecorating the home office. I am ready for things to get back to ‘normal’ however I’m not sure there is such a thing because I have been hired to work more hours by one of my clients. And we are still in the process of remodeling, moving furniture, boxes, organizing, sorting for donations, etc. WOW I’m tired just reading all of that.
We still have some traveling to do over the next few months but I look forward to some normalcy around here. Have you thought about your plan for August? Time to set your goals because uh tomorrow is August 1st! I want to hear all about them. It will definitely help INSPIRE me.
Here are some of my August goals.
- Get back into consistent workout mode in the home gym.
- Do weekly weigh in’s/monthly measurements
- Start up the food journal again via MyFitnessPal
- Take time for myself to read/relax
I know that I need to change more things to live a healthier life. Sure could use some support! Come on by my Facebook page at Losing It and Loving It for daily accountability.
Hubby and I have a goal to spin 3x a week T, Th and Sa. I will also do 2-3 days of weights/strength.
I have had an issue with my right foot for a few months now and it’s been painful. I don’t have health insurance so I am looking around to see if I could possibly get an x-ray or something at a reasonable price. It’s a sharp pain that starts in my little toe and then runs down the side to the middle of my foot. No fun.
So I figure shadow boxing should be OK as long as I don’t put too much pressure on that foot and then I’ll focus on abs/thighs/upper body and any lower body that I can do lying on the floor.
If you have any suggestions, I’m all ears. I’ll keep mowing the lawn while the weather permits because I can stop and take breaks doing that.
My June Better Healthy Living challenge went well. I thank Challenge Loop for making it a great success this year. However there were quite a few prizes people did not claim. So they will be up for grabs. I will be using those prizes for weekly workout check in’s here on the blog in the month of September so be on the lookout for that announcement.

I love your August goals – mine are somewhat similar – in fact, I did a post today about mine too…
My main goal is to have a smoothie EVERY DAY for the whole month of August. Join me in the challenge if you’re up for it! 🙂

Thanks Charissa! I have had a few smoothies this week. I love them.
As for goals, I’m struggling with that pain in my foot but hope to be able to get some relief soon. I can’t wait to get back in the home gym. For now I have been doing as much other stuff (like mowing with breaks, moving furniture, painting, etc. to stay active).
