It’s Fit and Healthy Friday.
Today’s Tip: Try Soy
The tip today comes from America On the Move.
Soy good for your heart! Soy foods can lower your risk of heart disease by helping to reduce both your total cholesterol and your LDL (“bad” cholesterol). Adding 25 grams of soy to your diet every day, the amount shown to lower your risk for heart disease, is easy! Try soy milk on your cereal, or splash it into your morning tea or coffee. Soy nuts are delicious on salad and give it a little bit of extra crunch. Or be creative the next time you host a dinner and try soybeans edamame-style as an appetizer
I thought it was perfect timing to post this since hubby and I have been hooked on edamame lately. I had heard great things about it as a snack and we added it as an appetizer to our sushi dinner out a few weekends ago. It was so good. Then we saw frozen edamame at the grocery store and wanted to try it out at home. Hubby steamed it and sprinkled sea salt on it. So tasty and fun to eat I just had to buy another bag for a yummy snack this weekend.
I haven’t tried anything else soy yet but I might try some soy milk in my coffee sometime.
What are your favorite soy based products?

Thanks Adrian. I went to their website and found that they sell in my local grocery store. I’ll have to check it out next time we go.
