Kev and I worked out this morning (spin class and weights) and then we ran errands and shopped our hearts out. Also went to one of our favorite mom and pop restaurants, Liberty in Libertyville, IL. It is always soooo good! We have been watching the Olympics all weekend and I forsee the whole week consisting of that.
Hope you all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day!
Here are my workouts for the week and it was a pretty lame week. I know I can do so much better. I keep thinking that I don’t want to overdo it especially since I’m just starting out running but I feel like I’m hardly getting anywhere. Gotta really look at my schedule and see what I can do.
Monday-
*Treadmill
Time: 45 min.
Miles: 2.51 (ran 10 one minute intervals)
Calories burned: 491
Awesome workout today! I was able to run without my shins hurting. Kept looking at the huge word PERSEVERE on the gym wall and just kept going. Best running day yet.
Tuesday- Day Off
Wednesday-
*Shoveling snow
Time: 1 hr
I WAS going to go to spin class but after shoveling I felt sick. I think I really over did it out there.
Thursday- Day Off
Friday-
*Treadmill
Time: 50 min.
Miles: 3.22 (ran 3-two minute intervals & 5-one minute intervals)
Calories burned: 552
Had to stop after 18 min. and put on my shin sleeves because my shins were hurting so bad. I did OK but it took a lot to get through this run. Was hoping for a good run like Monday but I’ll keep trying.
Saturday- Day Off
Sunday-
*Strength training (upper body)
Time: 20 min.
*Spin Class
Time: 1 hr 4 min.
Calories burned: 741
I really need to figure out my strength training days and not take so many days off each week. I wish we lived closer to the gym because right now I have to drive about 30 min. or so to get there. Drives me crazy! Hopefully this week will be better. Heading in to week 5 of running. Please tell me it gets easier LOL
How did your workouts go?
P.S. Don’t forget to enter the Eat Clean Diet Recharged book giveaway! It ends Tuesday morning. Feel free to share the giveaway with your friends and family too.

Judging by your wieght slowly going back up, I would bet that you are justifying eating more because of working out. You have to hold yourself accountable with workout, diet and potion conrtol.
Keep up the good fight and remember that accountable means in all aspects of fat loss and a healthy lifestyle.

Angie,
Did you see this month’s issue of Weight Watcher’s magazine? There’s a neat training schedule in there on building up to running. Thought of you when I read it. Almost tempted to try it myself, but decided my ankles wouldn’t take running again.
Glad to see you had one good run in last week without shin splints…You are perserving and that’s what counts!!

Thanks Bill, I have done that justifying in the past but learned that I have to be just as careful no matter how much I exercise.
Shannon, I don’t get that magazine but I should probably pick it up since it has running stuff in it. I need all the help I can get ha! Thanks for letting me know.
