4 Months (and beyond) to Fit: My Fit Body Goals
In the fall two big things are happening. We are heading back to Roatan, Honduras for a relaxing week-long vacation which will include lots of snorkeling, walking the beach and kayaking. And my stepson is getting married.
Kev and I will then celebrate our 20th anniversary next year, in December 2016. I would love to be able to wear a cute white dress for our vow renewal. We are still unsure where the vow renewal will take place. One of my dream spots is Bora Bora!
Anyway, back to the topic at hand…..
I personally have a goal in 4 months to
- Get fit.
- Be able to get in and out of a kayak with minimal effort
- No more soda (I had given it up for many years but the last few months had more than my fair share)
- Cut down on unhealthy carbs
- Meal plan and prep
As of right now, the only tracking I’m going to do is exercise. The food tracking always stressed me out and made me give up every time, so I might jot things down but I doubt I’ll go full on with tracking. We’ll see.
Tracking my workouts has always inspired me to keep moving so hopefully it will push me to reach my fit body goals. I’ll keep track on the chalkboard wall in our home gym and I’ll be printing out a monthly fitness calendar to jot it all down on too.
There are a few other personal goals I have:
- Take time to read every day
- Learn more and more about essential oils. I’m having so much fun with them!
- Do something creative every month (journals, coloring, etc.)
My life will be focused on the #wycwyc way of doing things. “What You Can, When You Can” see my post on not making it harder than it has to be. Here’s a post on my friend Carla’s site that clearly lays it out for me on the topic of losing weight.
Want to join in my 4 months to fit? What do you want to focus on most?

I’ll join you!!! 4 months of getting fit!
I have already begun this past week with my new schedule: i’m going to be specific here!
Every Sat and Sunday, I am going to walk 3.2 miles in my favorite park…it does my soul good to be back in nature. also will walk one day there during the week after work:
my goal is 3 or 4 days per week of walking 3.2 miles. the path I walk is .8 miles each loop/I walk 4 times.
I will jazzercise 2 times a week.
I will use hand weights and work my arms at home 4 times per week.
Another goal is to drink LOTS of water all summer, sometimes infused with fresh fruits including lemons, limes, strawberries and blueberries…and peaches …just one at a time.
And I have to go back to tracking. I HATE doing it, but it works as far as losing weight goes, for me. I have a new 3 month food journal I am using.
Thanks for getting something started for summer!!!! HERE’S TO FITNESS ! 🙂

Hey Lauren, I’m so excited you’ll join in too. Normally I have the June Better Healthy Living Challenge but I’m moving it to August. But want to try to have a new challenge each month.
You have great goals, I look forward to hearing updates. You can reply back here every week. Or every day if that helps!
I just started drinking lemon essential oil in my water yesterday. Delish! Here’s to our health.

keep me posted about how you are liking the essential oils…I’ve been reading up on them but haven’t used any yet!

Great goals! I gave up soda a while ago and it’s surprising how tough it is! Switching to sparkling water helped me a lot–I could still get the carbonation I was craving but with no calories or artificial sweeteners. I’m right there with ya on the unhealthy carbs. I crave pastries like nobody’s business. I’ve cut back a lot in the past couple of months, but I still have a ways to go. But, healthy living is a journey, and life’s all about moderation.

Thanks Beth, I gave soda up once before so I know I can do it. Love what you said about life being all about moderation. So true!

I love all of this, especially your healthy approach to it! You can totally do it! And how exciting! Honduras and maybe Bora Bora? Get that bucket list! xoxo Also – If you ever feel like you need something tasty and fizzy to help with the soda ditching, KeVita is delicious and clean, just sweetened with Stevia, and helps with probiotics, too! =)

Thank you so much Mandie! And I’ll check out KeVita.
