BHL Challenge Week 1: Exercise Log and Weight Loss Tracking
Ready to start week one of the Better Healthy Living challenge? Well it’s time and this week we’ll focus on keeping an exercise log and weight loss tracking. I have printed out this calendar and will keep track on paper. You can also track your food too.
I am personally going to weigh myself each week (on Wednesday’s I think). I don’t normally like focusing on the scale but I need to get moving in the right direction. If you need a scale recommendation, I like the Weight Gurus scale. It’s a smart scale 😉 so you can keep track via mobile too.
I find that keeping an exercise log helps me stay on track and encourages me to keep going. In addition to the calendar, we have a chalkboard wall in our home gym that I make notes on so that’s a lot of fun too.
Here is a great post on how to overcome the top 5 exercise excuses. The quote on this post says it all,
“If you’re tired of starting over…STOP QUITTING”.
Let’s do this.

What are your tips on keeping an exercise log and weight loss tracking?

I am ready! Even without gym shoes – I forgot to bring them with me to Honduras so I will use my Teva sandals for now. No excuses right?! Btw, just love the necklace “Me vs. Me” – so true!

This is exactly what I have been looking for lately. I am in the process of a fitness plan but I needed a log.
Thanks.

Just finding this today, and will start the challenge tomorrow (Monday)! Actually have an app’t with a dietitian on Tuesday to get my diet back on track! Now that I am about to turn 50, my diet and non-existent exercise routine has to change! Will be following along 🙂

Hi Maureen, glad to hear you’ll start tomorrow with us. Hope your meeting with the dietitian goes well.

I’m ready! A few months ago I started keeping a calendar in our home gym to write down weight and how long/what exercises I did each day. I definitely helped me stay motivated and work a little harder.
Angie says
Awesome Angie! Glad you’re joining us and sounds like you’re ready to rock with the tracking/calendar.
