So I slipped right past November it seems and into December. I can’t believe how fast the year has gone already.
I have spent the last few months visiting doctor’s offices and still no answer (you can read more about it all here). The next step is a neurologist for the numbness I’m having in my right thigh.
Had to up my water pill dose for foot/leg swelling last week so I’m constantly in the bathroom although that is nothing new ha ha. And the pain I had for about 2 weeks in the opposite knee went away. So weird. But it was so painful I’m truly thankful it’s gone. I was about to go crazy.
Today I started back up with exercise. My goal for December is 10 minute bursts, 3-6 times a day. I have done two so far today on the recumbent bike and my hips are killing me.
I like the idea of splitting up my exercise time so that I don’t get so overwhelmed thinking I have to push through and do it all at once. I don’t.
Many of you know I’m a Polar ambassador and am currently using the Polar Loop activity tracker. I also just bought the tangerine colored Fitbit Charge HR for myself for Christmas! The main reason I did is to have a family challenge. Almost everyone has one so we think it will be lots of fun. That will start in January!
Here are my goals for December:
- 10 minute bursts of exercise (3-6 times a day)
- Keep track of water intake on calendar/activity tracker
- Keep track of exercise on calendar/activity tracker
- Focus on eating more healthy (cutting down on carbs, eat more veggies especially to get more iron and less sugar)
I’m also going to try to get more sleep! Just the last few days wearing the Fitbit I have realized that I don’t get enough and I’m quite restless at night lol
It’s a very busy month but I am looking forward to spending time with family. My dad and mom are coming to stay for a bit and this will be the first time in a long time that we won’t be having Christmas Eve at our house. My stepson and his new wife (our amazing daughter-in-law) are hosting us!
Then of course New Year’s Eve is our 19th anniversary. Speaking of, I better go book our yummy dinner at Seasons 52.
What are your goals for December? Any fun holiday plans?
