Happy May! I can’t believe it’s May 1st. There has been a lot happening hence why you haven’t heard from me lately but I’m back.
The challenge for this month is going to be to MOVE IT MORE. It’s really important to get up, move more and sit less. I know I personally need to get up and get moving more during the day. I feel like a broken record. But lately I HAVE been walking a ton at the hospital and in airports.
See more info on the May fitness challenge below. But first……
Real quick update. Our 1st grandson (we have 4 granddaughters), Hunter was born at 27 weeks, 3 MONTHS early. He turned two weeks old this past weekend and we love him so much (Congrats Tyler and Tiffany!).
There is a long road ahead as he will be in the NICU for a few months. We have spent many hours at the hospital in Chicago and all live in the suburbs. So needless to say there has been a lot of driving and sitting in traffic which you know is uncomfortable for me with a pinched nerve and leg numbness. But whatever it takes to be there for Hunter. I’m so thankful I work from home and can be there by his side when needed.
Here’s our precious little grandson…and when I say little, he was born 1 lb 4oz. But he’s growing so if you are the praying kind, we would sure appreciate them.
I also just got back from a business conference in Daytona Beach, FL (check out who I got to meet!). Lots of airport walking and plane sitting. The weather in Daytona was dreary most of the time and the ocean wild and crazy but at least I got in pool time the first day and stuck my toes in the sand and ocean the last day. Be back soon, Daytona!
We are going to be traveling again next month. Heading to Hollywood, CA with 3 of our granddaughter’s. Super fun, can’t wait.
Like I mentioned above, the challenge this month is to move it more. Set your own fitness goals and your challenge is to stay accountable to others with daily activity. If you haven’t joined my monthly fitness challenge Facebook group, be sure to sign up here: monthlyfitnesschallenge.com

I work at home where I’m sitting at a desk most of the day so I definitely need to push myself to spend more time at my standing desk. I can do about 10-15 minutes of standing before my leg goes numb. So my goal is to take a couple breaks throughout the day to stand up, walk around and get my fitness on. Daily exercise will help us all.
My personal goals for May:
- Spinning daily for at least 15 minutes
- Walking (Walk Away the Pounds workouts, outside, etc.)
- Sit less
- Get more sleep
Are you all signed up for the challenge? If you prefer to check in here on this post, that is totally fine too! Whatever works easiest for you.
