Trouble catching your breath when walking up stairs?
Have trouble fitting in a restaurant booth?
Frustrated with clothes not fitting anymore?
No energy to spare?
Does any of this sound familiar to you? It does to me because I have personally been there and I’m still working daily at living a healthier lifestyle struggles and all. It was 2005 that I decided to start my journey to healthy living and although it hasn’t been easy, I have not given up. I know it’s possible to hit my goals because I have done it before.
I know that through my personal experience I have been able to help “educate, motivate and inspire” others. When I heard Kelly say that quote in one of her recent videos, I knew I was meant to make a positive impact in the FitFluential community in some way, shape or form. So I’m here to explain why I would be a great choice to be part of the FitFluential team.
FitFluential Inc. connects brands and influencers who share a passion for fitness. We are a network of the best when it comes to fitness bloggers and those who can inspire and guide them. People with a passion. People with a voice. People like you!
Over the last 5 years, I have welcomed fitness into my life. I have tried some amazing workouts and many have stuck with me to this day. Kevin (my hubby for those that don’t know) and I like to go to spin (cycle) class a few times a week and walk outside together when possible. Workouts that I love and do on a regular basis include all types of boxing, walking (outdoors and Walk Away the Pounds DVD’s) and like I said spinning. We regularly attend a Pilates class at our gym which is not one of MY favorite workouts BUT it works so I do it when I can (and Kev loves it).
Last December, Kevin and I walked the Reggae Marathon half marathon in Jamaica and might be walking the Disney Princess half marathon in Florida next year. I’m pretty much up to trying anything! Here we are at the end of the half marathon. What a great experience! Now I know why people are addicted to races.
Now before I move on I have to say that Kevin deserves a medal for sticking the race out with me. We trained together for months and he was so supportive (he always is). He truly deserves a Best Husband in the World award! You might be wondering what this has to do with FitFluential? Well, Kev and I are a team and if I’m behind FitFluential he will be too so that’s one extra person on your side.
I feel that I would fit right in at FitFluential because as you can see from above, FITNESS is something I love and have stuck with. There are so many great benefits to exercise so that is what I like to focus my life around.
Having support and people to stay accountable to is important. That is why I started the Losing It and Loving It Facebook page. There is a daily workout check in so people can come by and get motivation to do their workouts. I have built the community to over 400 members and it’s growing daily. That is also why I offer challenges here on the blog to get the community to move out of their comfort zone. In fact this month we are having the 30 Days to Better Healthy living challenge.
Being a part of the healthy living community has given me great opportunities like guest blogging opportunities, product reviews, generous prize donations and most recently I became a Polar ambassador.
In addition to the fact that I would have the chance to grow my reach to “educate, motivate and inspire” others I feel that joining FitFluential would be beneficial to me so that I can be inspired to set and reach new goals. When you have a healthy living blog, you’re always trying to be strong for those who come there for inspiration but we can’t forget that we all need a boost ourselves. And I know the FitFluential community could do that for me.
Thank you for the opportunity to enter to become part of FitFluential for the Chicago, IL area (Northwest suburbs).
