Workouts this week were good but could have been better but I’m still excited about the progress I have made with running in my Vibram Five Fingers shoes. I still have a LONG way to go but I’m enjoying the challenge. And it’s much easier than in regular running shoes. Who would have thought? I have only run inside on the treadmill but I’m happy with that for now. I’ll tackle the outdoor breathing challenges another year ha ha
I’m in the process of looking for a good cross training shoe for when I start doing kick boxing and other workout videos again. Plus I’ll be doing some HIIT (high intensity interval training). I have tried a few shoes in the past but have heard of some suggestions like Puma and Skechers. If you have any suggestions, I’m all ears.
Here are the workouts for the week:
Monday-
*Gardening
Time: 1 hr
Tuesday- Day off
Wednesday-
*Treadmill
Time: 30 min.
Miles: 1.66
Calories burned: 488
Ran 7 one minute intervals in my Vibram Five Fingers. It’s so much easier to run in these than my regular running shoes. Makes me happy! Oh and I did 1 mile in under 18 min., a combo of walking and some running. That is better than I have done ever.
Thursday- Day off
Friday-
*Treadmill
Time: 30 min.
Miles: 1.65
Calories burned: 455
Ran 8 one minute intervals in Vibrams. Great workout!
Saturday and Sunday- Gardening and shed work (no formal workouts)
Update on the shed: We worked on the shed today and only have painting inside and shelves to put up. Then we can start moving everything from the garage into the shed so we can start the home gym garage space design. I ordered a few cool posters and art prints and we are about to pick out the final colors. The lights are going to be awesome and we are really excited about the chalkboard wall. I’ll write more soon, as we get further along. And believe me, I’ll have pictures to share. Having a true home gym is going to make us so happy!
Hope you had a great week!
