It’s time for another Bloggy Love award.
For the month of March 2009, I have chosen Jenna, the very fun, smart, energetic and absolutely beautiful blogger of Eat Live Run. Jenna has shown me that you don’t have to diet to live a healthy life. I find Jenna’s blog to be such an inspiration to me because she shows her readers that it’s OK to eat anything in moderation and also have fun with healthy foods.
I had the great pleasure of meeting Jenna in Chicago last November when she was in town for a Quaker Oats sponsored event. It was a fun time and I’m thankful I was able to meet up with her. Here is a picture of Jenna and myself
You can see more pictures that Kev (hubby) took of the blogger meet up.
I love Jenna’s blog and read it every day. I would love for you to get to know Jenna and read about her food philosophy. She’s amazing! Jenna’s blog is not a weight loss blog but more of a food blog. She does however share what she does for fitness too. Jenna is a yoga lover so you might find that fascinating. Yoga is not something I have tried or have an interest in right now but she can tell you everything you need to know.
Jenna has shared many great recipes and food ideas that I have found interesting. She’s another oatmeal lover so between her and Kath, I’m covered on exciting new ways to eat my oatmeal. And you MUST try her yummy oatmeal pancakes. Just check out that beauty. Jenna told me how to prepare it and believe it or not when I made it, it turned out wonderful. Look at my masterpiece (except I forgot the strawberries on top oops).
Here is how Jenna told me to make it:
The night before mix together 1/2 cup old fashioned oats with 3 egg whites. Let sit in fridge overnight.
The morning of, add 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1/2 of a mashed banana and a pinch of salt. Cook for about 2 minutes per side.
I top mine with about a tbsp of almond butter and the other half of the mashed banana.
It tastes great, is filling and has about 21 grams of protein!
Totally awesome breakfast!
The other thing that surprised me is that thanks to Jenna, I now love tofu. I hemmed and hawed over trying it but finally did and can’t get enough. I love it! You can use the search feature at Jenna’s Eat Live Run blog to find a variety of posts that include her tofu masterpieces.
I am sure you’ll find many great things as you browse through Jenna’s blog and of course you’ll then figure out why she was deserving of this Bloggy Love award. Jenna, thank you for all you do! You are a true inspiration.
Don’t forget to share the bloggy love too. Feel free to use this bloggy love award and link back in the comments when you do. Be sure to come back next month to see who the April 2009 bloggy love award recipient will be!

I’ve found that nutrition is the key to improving my fitness but that doesn’t mean I have to stop eating all yummy foods! I can still enjoy a treat yet remain healthy as long as I keep it in moderation just like Jenna says. Love the food suggestions here.
