Best Fitness Training Heart Rate Monitors (+giveaway)

Disclosure: This post may contain referral/affiliate links.

A few months ago, I told you about the benefits of heart rate monitor training. Polar is our go to heart rate monitor and I use mine almost every day. I’m able to see how my fitness training progresses and I love it.  When I see that I burned 800+ calories spinning, I always try to beat my last number and do better. Polar rocks my world!

One of my favorite things lately is that I can share my Polar training diary with anyone I want!  I have been posting my workouts to my personal Twitter profile via Polar Personal Trainer. So cool!  I also share my daily workouts over on Facebook.  Come join us for accountability.

I’ll let the video below do the rest of the talking about why it’s important to train with heart rate monitors…

Polar has awesome products, is an awesome company and that is why I am one of their ambassadors.  And with that comes awesome opportunities for everyone!  YOU my lucky and faithful readers now have the chance to enter to win one of  the FT4 Polar heart rate monitors (pictured above).  How cool is that?

*Giveaway has now ended*

So here’s what you need to do by , November 9, 2011 at 11:59 PM Eastern:

Go to Shop Polar and tell me what product you would put on your wishlist (mine would be the RS300X SD just because I love the look of the watch and the orange color)

Extra entries (separate comments for each)

1) Tweet this giveaway (you can use any fitness hashtag you like #fitblog #polarusa, #fitfluential #giveaway whatever fits)

2) “LIKE” Losing It and Loving It on Facebook (if you already do just comment letting me know, you can still get an extra entry)

Due to my travel schedule I will have to pick the winner on Monday, November 14, 2011 so thank you in advance for your patience.

**I was NOT paid to write this post and all reviews of Polar are my own.

Id get the FT40. I love how it tells you when in your workout that you’re burning fat.

I do most of my work on a hand me down treadmill and the electronics on it are broken so I really never have a clue if Im on there enough to make a difference. With this I could see how long Ive been on and how many calories Ive burned and could tweak my workout one way or the other. At 100 pounds over weight I really need all the help I can get.

    I also liked your page.

I would put the G1 gps sensor on my wishlist because I’m really over weight and I’m trying to lost some weight right now and It would really help me to know the distance of how much I ran and this would help me alot since I would always try to improve the distance I went everyday. It would be really amazing if I could get it ^-^

I like the FA20- because it gives you that 24 hr reading. Reminds me of the bodybugg. The drawback to the body bugg is that you cannot see your heartrate or calories until you link up to the pc. I like to do intervals- and I use my heart rate to tell me when to switch. This watch looks like it would work for both.

I would love to have the FT40 as I would wanna know how many calories I’d burn a day. The treadmill I’m working on is very inaccurate and I would wanna know how long I should run to lose 500 calories per day. I am trying to lose weight as I am only 4’8 and 120 pounds and at my age, that means, I have obesity. I just would like to take care of my health better and I think that by having the FT40, it would really help me a lot.

So many family members are cyclists, so I would be interested in the CS500 TOUR DE FRANCE. I remember watching the Tour De France with my dad every year when I was little. He still doesn’t miss it.

The RCX5 GPS caught my eye. I don’t know, I like it clear and big and most displays are just too small for me. 😀

    I’d love the RS800CX GPS
because I do some of my running on trails & it’s hard to get accurate distance & rate of speed.
