Take That Nap

Disclosure: This post may contain referral/affiliate links.

This week was much better although I still didn’t get in as many workouts as I planned.  I did however enjoy getting back into it.  I just need to work on timing and how to make it all work.

Today I intended on using mowing the lawn as my workout but it just got too hot out and we found ourselves needing to accomplish other things like taking a THREE hour nap!  I’m still catching up on sleep and totally needed that.

This coming week, my goal is to exercise at least 5 days.  I would like to see myself doing a variety of cardio mixed in to my personal training weights/strength schedule.  I also joined iBodyFit.com for free for a few months and would like to check that out.  Oh and by the way they are one of our prize sponsors for the Better Healthy Living Challenge.  Be sure to check them out and let them know Angie Newton sent you.

Speaking of the challenge, if you’re participating (and you know you want to!), the first blog check in and prize giveaway will be this Tuesday.  I can’t wait!  My challenge for the 1st week was to keep an eye on those ‘naughty’ desserts and I have done pretty well with that.

Now on to the workouts from this past week…

Monday-

*Elliptical
Time: 15 min.
Miles: 1.04
Calories burned: 242

*Strength/Weights
Time: 33 min.
Calories burned: 394

Tuesday-

 *Treadmill Intervals
Time: 30 min.
Miles: 1.62
Calories burned: 401

Wednesday- Day off

Thursday-

*Spinning
Time: 30 min.
Calories burned: 329

Friday-

*Spinning
Time: 15 min.
Calories burned: 166

This was a warm up before weights/strength training.

*Strength/Weight Training (workout B, personal training)
Time: 30 min.
Calories burned: 221

There were bench dips in this workout and I did not have success with those.  Boy do I need to lose weight and get some strength in those arms.  I’m thinking we need to add a weight bench to our home gym. We’ll see!

 Saturday-Sunday-Day off

Naps are so important! We need to be well rested in order to get in our quality workouts, or to recover from them. I usually get in a longer run Saturdays, and always nap when my 2yo does- I’m going to be so sad when she gives that up!
So glad to connect more with you- your site is gorgeous, by the way! So clean and organized. I need you to come revamp mine. 🙂

Thank you! Finally after 3 years I got myself a WordPress blog designer. She did most of the magic, I just have to keep it updated and clean. I have way too many categories but I’ll work on it one day ha ha. Nice to connect with you too, you have been a big help.
