This weeks workouts weren’t all that great but I am getting back into the swing of things after a very long few months. Travel and family stuff took a lot of my attention. I tried to move as much as possible through it all but I could have done much better. My uncle passed away unexpectedly from heart failure a few weeks ago and I just want to live the healthiest life I can.
Best Body Bootcamp starts tomorrow and I am ready for it. All workouts printed out and I have my fitness routine pretty much lined up for the next few months.
I’ll have to work around any holidays and travel but I’m ready to rock it. Did you sign up for Best Body Bootcamp?
Throughout the bootcamp we choose 2 goals each week to focus on. I haven’t quite set all of them yet but I do know I would like to keep going with my food journaling, less/no processed foods, cook for hubby, move every day, take time to read at least 20 min. a day, no meals at computer, things like that.
I also have a big goal to lose over 100 lbs over the next year although my main focus is INCH LOSS. My weigh in’s will be weekly and I will take measurements and body fat on a monthly basis. Please hold me accountable!
One other goal I would like to achieve would be to do two workouts a day 2-3 times a week. We’ll see how that goes! I do know that I don’t want to over do it so I will be smart in my decisions.
I’m excited for bootcamp! Here are my workouts for this past week:
Monday-
*Treadmill
Time: 30 min.
Miles: 1.68
Calories burned: 480
Wednesday-
*Variety workout
Time: 25 min.
Squats, sit ups, stair climbers, planks, dancing and upper body.
Thursday- Sick day
Friday-
*Spinning
Time: 30 min.
Calories burned: approx 435
My heart rate monitor is pooping out. I really think I need a new one and that it’s not the batteries. We’ll see!
OK, so the big 3 workouts, that is unacceptable.
Another challenge I’m looking to join is the Holiday Bootie Buster Challenge starting Nov. 19th. I will share more about that soon.
Awesome goals! This is my first time with best body bootcamp and I’m excited to try the workouts and goals for the week
Thanks Patty! Welcome to the bootcamp. It’s awesome and everyone is so inspiring. Can’t wait to hear all about your experience with it.
Great goals! I’m doing Bootcamp for the first time and am so excited. Fun to get to know so many other bloggers, too.
Thanks Carrie! Welcome to bootcamp. And it is awesome getting to know others. Good times!
Yay for bootcamp! You have some great goals!
Thanks Jayme! Go bootcamp.
I’m focusing on losing inches too. How do you like spinning? I’ve thought about trying a class but I have to admit I’m a little intimidated. The spinning room at my gym is separated from everything else and you can’t really see what goes on in there!
Awesome! I love spinning. I’m over 250 lbs and weighed more when I first started spinning. I was uncomfortable at first but it was so much fun and after my bottom got used to it, Kev and I were going 3-4 times a week at the gym. We have since remodeled our garage into a home gym and have 2 spin bikes but I think you should definitely try it. Huge calorie burn!
What are you nervous about? Happy to help ease your mind if you want to ask any questions.
Thanks for all the info Angie. I think I’m just nervous about trying something new.
I’ve watched a few videos on how to adjust the spin bike and what to expect from your first class so I think I need to stop whining and just do it. I think there’s a class tonight that I can fit in. I think I’ll go for it! I’ll let you know how it goes.
You are quite welcome! Best piece of advise is to get to the class early and let the instructor know that you are brand new and need help adjusting your seat/bars, etc. She/he will appreciate that! Yes, go for it and then come back here and tell me all about it.
After you go a few times, you’ll know if it’s for you or not and then if it is, you can decide if you want to invest in spin shoes (best.investment.ever.). And maybe a padded bike seat from Walmart. I love mine, use it every day. It just slips right on the seat and is more comfy for me.
Go get em!
Thanks for the great advice Angie. Spinning class went really well! Turns out my kickboxing instructor was leading the class. It was nice to see a friendly face.
My legs are really talking to me tonight – I’m not sure if it’s the spinning or Bootcamp or probably a combo of both!
You are quite welcome! I’m soooo glad to hear spinning class went well for you and you knew the instructor. It was meant to be. And it’s most definitely the combination of spinning and bootcamp. Today was Workout B for me plus spinning so my legs, thighs and butt are screaming ha ha.
