Here is the final check in for the 30 day challenge. All you need to do is comment on this post to let us know what one new thing you did for the previous week. It would be great if you could blog about it on your blog, link to the main 30 Days to Better Healthy Living Challenge post and then drop the link to your blog post here in the comments. Don’t worry if there is a delay, I usually have to approve them. If you don’t have a blog, feel free to just comment with the one new thing you did this week.
Did you step out of your comfort zone and try a new workout? Make a new healthy recipe? Whatever it was, let us know about it.
The last weekly drawing will take place tomorrow (Wednesday) from all who check in to win another fun prize. I will calculate all the Facebook check in’s for June this Friday (July 1st) and will announce the grand prize winner(s) over the weekend.ย Prize packages will go out next week!
You can read all the challenge rules in this post. Hope you enjoyed the challenge and that it helped you step out of your comfort zone.
This week, I didn’t do anything out of the ordinary as I’m still healing from back pain BUT I did help Kev and my stepson build a shed and carried over 100+ pieces of wood down the yard. Oh my it was hard work. I know between the two days over the weekend I burned 1000+++ calories.ย I am really itching to get back to my normal workout routine.ย It will be nice when the home gym garage space is done.

Well this past week sure has posed one heck of a challenge for me. Having my shoulder/bicep area hurting and being injured made last week and this past weekend a challenge. I have to say I just kept doing what I wanted to do and that was keep moving. It may not have been as fast as I wanted or as much as I wanted but I kept moving. I plan on this week being a much better weak even though I am at limited mobility with my arm. This challenge has been great Ang! Thank you for doing it and I hope you have more in the future!

Dawn- Hope you have a speedy recovery!!

Dawn, I sure hope you heal quickly. I know about those challenges though, it was a tough month for myself but I should be back up in full force soon.
Glad you enjoyed the challenge and I WILL be doing more in the future. Looking at September for the next one. Fun!

I am happy with my changes this month. The diet has been easier than I thought- 6 meals a day consisting of a protein and a fruit or veggie, limited simple carbs, no sugar. (The 4 allowed splurges a week helps) The added strength training is making changes already- I can see it. I am going to enjoy working with my new trainer too. And my results are great- weighed in yesterday and with my pms bloat (and I do-ugh!) I am still down 12 lbs. It`s been a good month! Thanks Angie!! ๐

Congrats on your 12 lb weight loss, Terry!
I was really impressed when you told about your fitness boot camp (or whatever it was) in an earlier update.
I’d really like to be able to do something similar in the future.

Nice work Terry!!!! You deserve the results you are getting cuz you have been killing it. I need to deal with sugar issue lol (Working on it this week). ๐
Angie says
Terry, I am soooo happy for you. You made some awesome changes and WOW 12 lbs ROCKS. Everyone in this challenge really gave me so much inspiration.
Strength training really makes a huge difference. I so need a weight set for the new home gym.

It’s been a week of new things for me. Besides walking a lot as usual, I did three new whole body strength training workouts from Flavia’s program.
It’s been a challenge to use a stability ball in my workouts; it’s really hard to control the ball if you don’t have enough muscle strength. (I guess that’s the point).
It’s a shame this challenge ends already, I was just starting to warm up. I was smart though and signed up for Biz’ challenge that lasts the whole summer. ๐
Remember not to carry so much wood that you hurt your back again, Angie!
Angie says
Way to go, Satu! I’m already planning another challenge for September. Have fun with her challenge!
As for the wood, I took my time and only carried 2 at a time. It was just hot and exhausting that day.
Terry says
Satu- nice job this month! ๐ Keep up the good work!
Debra Matthews says
I put my focus on interval training to try to change it up. Also made a special effort to log all food and stay away from carbs.
Angie says
Great Debra! As for carbs, you need them for energy so don’t stay away from them. Get the good carbs like fruits, veggies, whole grains, etc.
